Roger K. Bentley, II

Roger K. Bentley, II, age 69, died at CentraState Medical Center on Tuesday, May 16, 2007 of congestive heart failure.
 
He was born April 2, 1938, in Trenton, New Jersey, to the late Roger K. Bentley and Beatrice Ivins Bentley.
 
He graduated from The Peddie School. He went to Dartmouth College where he was Captain of the Golf Team.
 
 He graduated from Cornell University School of Law in 1963 and was admitted to the New Jersey State Bar the same year. In 1967 he joined Isadore I. Zlotkin in a law practice lasting until Mr. Zlotkin’s death in 1990, at which time he continued practicing as a solo practitioner with law offices in Hightstown, New Jersey.
 
He served as Attorney to several town’s Zoning and Planning Board and was Municipal Attorney for Washington Township during the 1980’s. Roger was an active member of the Hightstown Lions Club serving as President for two terms 1982-1984 and as Parliamentarian for District 16B.
 
An avid golfer, Roger was the club champion at Battleground Country Club in 1976 and played at The Peddie Golf Course for the past 25 years.
 
Roger is survived by his wife, Jane, his daughters Pamela Pezzullo, Patricia Hoke and Meredith Bentley-Barlow; six grandchildren: Lydia Pezzullo; Anthony Pezzullo; James Pezzullo; Simon Hoke; Joseph (Jay) Hoke and William (Wiley) Barlow. 

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at 4:30 P.M. at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold NJ.
